BMS Testing Environment Guidelines

BMS provides three environments for testing:

Environment Purpose

QAT1 & QAT2 – Functional Testing Environments

  • Used for early and ongoing testing of new features.

  • Initial testing for new features may occur in either QAT1 or QAT2.

  • You may log in as yourself or as any other user using the “Login As Other User” function.

  • This allows you to test workflows such as approvals, role-specific features, and permissions.

  • All sensitive data in QAT1 and QAT2 is synthetic to avoid exposing real information.

UAT – Final Validation Environment

  • Used for final testing before deploying to PROD.

  • UAT mirrors the production environment as closely as possible.

  • Users cannot log in as other users unless they have been granted System Super Admin permissions.

  • Features are only promoted to UAT once they have passed initial testing in QAT1/QAT2.

Email Behavior in Test Environments

No real emails are sent from UAT, QAT1, or QAT2.
Instead, all outgoing emails are delivered to the shared Testing Mailbox (Mailpit - Conexus DEV Mail), which you can access via the “Dev Mail” button.

In Mailpit, look for emails tagged by environment (e.g., UAT, QAT1, QAT2) to verify email notifications during your testing.
